Vision
Every wedding has its own rhythm. A glance that lasts a little longer, a hand reaching for the other without thinking, a laugh that happens in the middle of something completely ordinary. Those are the moments I naturally look for. To me, photography is not just about documenting what happened, but remembering what it felt like to be there.
My approach is pretty simple. I want you to feel comfortable, enjoy your day, and forget about the camera as much as possible. I am not interested in constantly posing or directing you. I would rather give you a little direction when you need it, then step back and let you be yourselves. With thoughtful preparation beforehand and the flexibility to follow whatever happens naturally, I want the photographs to feel romantic and beautiful, but still honest and personal to you.
My background in documentary photography, along with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, has shaped the way I see a wedding. I care about light, composition, and the overall feeling of an image, but I never want those things to come at the expense of something real. Whether I have photographed the venue before or it is completely new to me, I take the time to look around, understand the space, find the light, and see what the day gives us. Couples often tell me I am fun, creative, and easy to be around, which I think is important because good photographs usually start with feeling comfortable.
At the end of the day, I want your photographs to feel like you. The people you love, the little things that happened when no one was paying attention, and the moments you could never have planned. I want them to look beautiful, but more importantly, I want them to still mean something to you years from now.
